World without exceptions: "Motorica" and Nike are looking for trainers for children without hands, and MaxBionic published a video of bionic prostheses working

This week is exciting news from the world of prosthetics startups.

The startup Motorika is developing functional prosthetic hands. Also, the company pays a lot of attention to the social component of its activities. Recently they, together with Nike, announced the launch of a program to find and support coaches for children without hands.

According to Vasily Khlebnikov, the Motorika’s founder, one of their main goals is “to make as many trainers as possible who have no problems coaching people without hands appear in Russia and in the world”. Nike, in turn, provides the startup with information support and venues for the event. For example, on May 30 Nike Box in Moscow is going to hold a day of children’s sports, where everyone can take part without exception. Also, on the site of “Motorika” are instructions for coaches, for which the classes came to the children without hands.

Meanwhile, another Russian startup, MaxBionic, published a video of how their bionic prostheses work. With their help, users have access to such every day but requiring fine motor skills, processes such as putting the phone on charge.

The startup is in existence since 2014. In 2017, it received investment from business angel Alexei Blokhin, the amount of which is not disclosed. A few days ago, the company’s developments received an award in the Red Dot Award: Product Design in the category Best of the best. Today it is possible to get the company’s prosthesis as part of the Russian Social Security.
