We talk to startups and investors, you get the value.

FemTech startup Mami.chat, which went through an official release in May, has raised $500 000. One of the investors is Vladimir Soloviev, co-owner of the Mother and Child clinic chain (Ukraine). The project’s legal entity, ECO Consult LLC, is registered in Belarus.

The project carries out consultations with doctors for women on its own platform. So far, the application is not monetized, but according to Mariya Rudnik, the startup’s funder, they want to keep the main functionality for free. They plan to earn money through an additional “health assistant”.

The freemium model in such a delicate matter as women’s health is a big question. How willing will the audience be to pay for something they are used to getting for free on countless forums within the community? It is likely that the project will have to engage in some form of marketing.
